Rev. Dr. Soong-Chan Rah places Micah 4:1-5 within the context of Genesis 11 (tower of Babel), Acts 2 (pentecost), and Revelations 7 (all nations worshiping together). He argues that while the Bible points to a future where the people of God gather together from all over the earth, the church as a whole is not there yet. He goes on to say that the only way to get to Revelations 7 is by the laying down of swords - the dismantling of power.
