Every year the Justice and Compassion ministries at Quest church hosts a meal for the homeless. As the holiday season is upon us-- it is that time of year to get geared up for another fabulous Thanksgiving dinner for the larger community, namely men, women and children who are homeless and who live in our neighborhood. This is one of those rare opportunities that we have to serve a hearty, healthy meal while sitting down and conversing with men and women who face the difficult struggles of being homeless in our city. It is an opportunity for us to go deeper in our service to the homeless and although it is something we only offer once a year it is a significant part of our outreach. Last year we hosted 75 people and this year we expect to host 150 over the dourse of two dinners on November 22nd one at 5 pm and the second one at 7 pm. The feedback that we received from folks last year was consistent and rang of thankfulness as several people shared how they hadn't had a sit down thanksgiving dinner with family, community or friends in years and how they felt so thankful to have the opportunity to share in a meal with others. We are still recruiting volunteers for this fabulous event. If you'd like to be involved please contact Pastor DeAnza at deanza[at]seattlequest.org. We hope to have you join us on the 22nd! |

We wonder if you still need volunteers on your Thanksgiving Nov 22nd meal? We are not part of your church, but would be willing to help. Let us know the times you need people. We can do anything. Thanks. Sandy & Robert
