The Life Together ministry at Quest is all about community: playing together, learning together, and growing deeper in our faith and relationships with other post-college Questers. But this year we also wanted to put some legs to that faith and bless the larger Quest community. That's why we are asking you to join us in making our upcoming fundraiser on May 9th a smashing success. Our goal is twofold: first, to provide scholarships for the annual Life Together Retreat, so that cost would not be a hindrance to anyone wishing to experience a weekend of teaching and fellowship. Second, we wanted to highlight and raise funds for World Aid, one of the many non-profit ministries that Quest partners with. World Aid provides relief and advocacy for victims of ethnic violence along the Thai-Burma border, as well as support for refugees that have fled that area. You can read more about what they do here.

How can you help us? Well, first and foremost, you can donate to the auction! We need items-either bought or homemade-to auction off at the event on May 9th. We can also auction services, whether it be housecleaning, babysitting, ski lessons, or whatever skill you might be able to share. Get creative! Any and all ideas are accepted, just email us at team-life-together@googlegroups.com by May 3rd.

You can also help by coming out to the auction and participating! Bring cash or checks and a fierce determination not to lose a bidding war! And spread the word-bring your friends, the person who sits next to you in service, your mom, anyone who is willing to help us raise funds for the cause. As always, any questions about the Life Together ministry can be directed to Rebecca at rjgintrepid@gmail.com. You can also also stay updated by checking out the Quest website.

So donate and then come on out May 9th to the Q Cafe! Doors open at 6:30, bidding starts at 7 and live auction is at 8pm. Hope to see you there!
