Helping Children Serve the Kingdom

I am so glad that Jesus invited children to be a part of his time on earth.  Jesus never hesitated to allow children to participate in the kingdom and gospel he was proclaiming.  Whether it was challenging adults to "become like a child", or "welcome a child"; his miraculous healing of a child, or letting a child praise his name, or sit on his lap, it seems Jesus valued children greatly.  I can think of no better way to acknowledge the importance of children in the life of the church (other than dedication, baptism, and confirmation :)) than giving kids an opportunity to serve others and be the hands and feet of Christ today!

So we are gathering together on Friday night this week to bake some pies for the homeless men and women of Seattle, and to prepare some gift bags.  It is going to be a great time!  We hope that many children, families, and others welcome too- can join us Friday night at 6:30pm at Global Village.  email katey@seattlequest.org to RSVP.
