Global Market & Giving Tree
Advent is upon us. And this season not only marks the anticipation of our Savior but an anticipation of a life marked by Hope and Grace.
This is precisely why the Advent and Christmas season isn't just merely a time of self-gluttony and consumption. We are to look to the One and to look to others in need.
This year (as we've done in years past), we are hosting the Global Market (Global Presence Ministries) and The Giving Tree (Quest Justice Compassion Ministries) - our investments in both the Local and Global context.
The Giving Tree (available at the church lobby) will benefit our homeless friends through the One4One Ministry in Seattle. Please pick up an "ornament" and bless our local community in need. The Global Market is a very unique opportunity for our global partners to share their work, ministry, info, and in many cases, share handcrafts, jewelry, and projects for Questers to purchase and invest. Orgs and partners that will be represented are: World Aid, HEAL Africa, Wycliffe, Chamwino Connect, TUSUBIRA, World Concern, IJM, Quest To the Streets, and Nickelsville (One4One).
So make sure you join us for fellowship at the Q Cafe over the next two Sundays. To motivate you a little more, our Children's Ministry will be conducting a bake sale for the Global Village vision and Q Cafe (who donates 10% each month to local/global causes) will be open during Global Market for your enjoyment.
