at least once a year the youth and children's ministry staff want to stop and say to parents, "hey! you are not alone. how can we encourage you? support you? equip you to be the best parents you can be?! that's why equip2010 is taking place in a week, and that is why we will do our best to make equip2011 even better than this year, and the year after that, and...you ge the idea. and if more parents want to come together in the church community more than once a year- we'll make it happen. because our children are worth it. it's a workshop, it's a conference, it's whatever you want to call it. a learning day, a day for conversation, and day to laugh and ask questions, and share stories and put some new tools in our parenting tool belts. no judgement, no condemnation, no 7 steps for perfect children (or perfect parenting), no behavior modification programs. just a little grace, support and encouragement. we hope you can make it.
