We'll be doing a Bible study on the book of Amos.  The minor prophet, Amos' message to the Israelites was to remember their call as people of God and to remember that their call required them to remember the disadvantaged and marginalized of society.  At this point in history, Israel was becoming more concerned about foreign trade and investments in a market that would yeiled them the highest return: oil & wine.  The themes of Amos will fit nicely with our exploration as a C-group on how we are informed in our daily journeys to live lives that are commited to a path of Justice & Compassion.  We will ask ourselves questions like: How do we understand God's call on us as his ambassadors?  How does His call change the way we conduct ourselves day to day?  Who are the marginalized among us?  And much more!  Most of all, we will look forward to growing deeper in friendship and relationship while challenging and exploring what it means to be transformed by a gospel that not only redeems us but calls us to join in that work!!
