Life Together

LT Second Sundays & the 5PM BBQ in the Park

Life Together and the 5pm service are hosting a barbecue at Carkeek Park on Sunday, August 14, at 5pm.  This is a 'mash-up' Second Sunday's potluck and 5pm-ers summer gathering--a great opportunity to reconnect before the summer is over.  We'll provide the grillables and drinks, please bring a side dish to share.  Meet us at the picnic shelter near the playground with your beach shoes and favorite lawn games in tow.

Life Together Retreat 2009

Join us for a weekend of fun & fellowship as we learn about wisdom, character and community from SPU professor Bo Lim.

What does it mean to be mature? What does it mean to be an adult? Due to shifts in our culture it appears that there is confusion today regarding what characterizes adulthood particularly when careers are less stable and people are deferring marriage and children until later in life. It seems oftentimes the church is equally confused regarding maturity particularly for these individuals. What everyone will agree upon is that wisdom is characteristic of maturity. The wisdom books of the Bible are written to provide wisdom and offer a vision of the good life particularly for those who are in a point of transition in their lives.

Life Together

WHAT IS LIFE TOGETHER?

Life Together is a ministry of friendships among Questers who are in the post-college years and are either single or married without kids. Our mission is to provide opportunities to develop friendships, support one another, and learn more of what it means to live as the body of Christ.

The hope of this ministry is to be both relational and missional. Through our intentional mentoring ministry, monthly potlucks, and quarterly gatherings, it is our prayer that everyone involved develops meaningful relationships and connections within Quest. In so doing, it is our desire to be the hands and feet of Christ to the world around us through engaging in community service efforts in the local Seattle area.

Members are encouraged to organize their own events, and the ministry team is always eager to help you out! You can e-mail us at: team-life-together@googlegroups.com

WANT TO GET INVOLVED?

Do you have a heart for the Quest community? Do you want to help people grow in their relationships? Do you love to plan a good party? Then you might be a great addition to the LT event team or the LT mentoring team. The event team meets regularly to brainstorm, plan, and pray for the post-college community at Quest. We would love your help as we create opportunities for depth within Quest. Contact team-life-together@googlegroups.com for more info.

You can also check out photos and speaker notes from our first ever (and hopefully annual!) Life Together retreat here.
