O Holy & Dangerous Night
As we are in the full swing of the holiday season, I have been thinking quite a bit about what we are celebrating. I mean Christmas, for Christians, is a celebration of the birth of Christ Jesus. That is nice, we all think, it's a birthday party! What I have been struck by this holiday season, though, is reading the verses we have in the Gospels that recount how Jesus came into this world. To recount these stories, I have picked a few key verses below to read first. You can read the surrounding sections as well, but these are where I will focus my time today.
