Early Childhood Ministry Positions
- Hosting Ministry: Welcome and check-in nursery and toddler classes. Arrive 20 minutes early to help check-in babies and toddlers to their classes. Answer questions and assist visitors and newcomers. Time commitment: 45 minutes on Sundays.
- Nursery Leaders: Volunteer weekly to monthly. Arrive 20 minutes before service begins (to set-up classroom). Play with and hold babies, feed and change diapers. Time commitment: 2 hours/week.
- Toddler Lead Teacher: Volunteer weekly. Arrive 30 minutes before service begins. Plan and prepare lessons, oversee class schedule & flow, lead circle time, lesson, craft & snack times, direct other volunteers in assisting with activities. Time commitment: 2-3 hours/week.
- Toddler Assistant: Volunteer weekly to monthly. Arrive 20 minutes before service. Play with toddlers, help lead teacher with activities. Time commitment: 2 hours/week.
- Preschool Lead Teacher: Volunteer Weekly. Arrive 20-30 minutes before service to prep classroom. Plan & prepare lessons, oversee class schedule & flow, lead circle time, lesson, craft & snack times, direct other volunteers in assisting with activities. Time commitment: 3-3.5 hours/week.
- Preschool Assistant: Volunteer weekly to monthly. Arrive 20-30 minutes before service. Plan activity centers and oversee pre-service play time (15 minutes before service begins) Play with preschoolers, help lead teacher with activities, provide behavior correction/discipline support (i.e. helping kids stay in circle time) to lead teacher during teaching times, assist kids with restroom needs, snack time, and activity centers. Time commitment: 2-2.5 hours/week.
- PreK/Kinder Lead Teacher: Volunteer weekly. Arrive 20-30 minutes before service to prep class. Teach Sunday school lessons, lead games, snack time, and craft activities. Time commitment: 3-3.5 hours/week
- PreK/Kinder Assistant: Volunteer weekly to monthly. Arrive 20 minutes before service. Oversee story corner for pre-service story time. Play with kids, help lead teacher with activities, provide behavior correction/discipline support (i.e. helping kids stay focused during lesson time) to lead teacher during teaching times, assist kids with restroom needs, snack time, and activity centers. Time Commitment: 2 hours/week.
Gradeschool Ministry Positions
- Hosting Ministry: Welcome parents and kids as they arrive to church. Direct kids to classrooms and introduce to teachers. Arrive 20 minutes before service each week. Stay at least 15 minutes into service. Answer questions
and assist visitors and newcomers. Time commitment: 45 minutes on
Sundays.
- Gradeschool Lead Teacher (1st-5th): Volunteer weekly. Arrive 20 minutes before service begins for CM leader prayer time. Prepare and teach Sunday school lessons for large group (1-3 times a month), lead children in memorizing scripture, prayer, games and activities, as well as classroom discussions around real life and current issues. Help kids connect bible truths to their everyday life. Time Commitment: 3 hours/week.
- Gradeschool Small Group Leader: Volunteer weekly. Arrive 20 minutes before service begins for CM leader prayer time. Oversee welcome table, or games area during pre-service activities. Assist large group leader during service. Lead small group discussion time, help kids with applying lessons to their lives, encourage kid participation, assist with behavior needs and care for special needs kids. Time commitment: 2 hours/week.
- Parent
assistant: Volunteer weekly to monthly. Arrive 20 minutes before
service begins for CM leader prayer time. Oversee welcome table, or
games area during pre-service activities. Assist large group/small group leaders during service. Engage kids in dialogue about lessons, encourage
participation and assist with behavior needs and care for special needs
kids. Time commitment: 2 hours/week.
