Children's Ministry Letter

HI PARENTS!

 

Well this week is an exciting and big change for the children's ministry and the entire church. All Sunday worship schedule is changing to 9.15am, 11am, and 5pm. Partial Childcare/Kids' Program is available at the 9.15am service. Full Children's Ministry takes place at the 11am service. There will be no programs at the 5pm service.

 

In addition to the changes in the worship schedule, there are some changes to our worship building. The majority of the children's ministry takes place in the basement of our newly renovated church building. In addition, a completely new FAMILY ROOM has been created for parents and their infants or young toddlers that can used during worship. In addition, a MOTHER'S LOUNGE is also available for nursing mothers.

 

All teachers and volunteers have gone through training, background checks, and enjoy the opportunity to minister to your children. A pager system is also in place to inform parents if their presence is needed during the service.

 

9.15AM SERVICE

 

FAMILY ROOM: Available for any parents who don't want to drop their child off at nursery, especially for nursing mothers.

 

Nursery: Infants and babies 0-2. Drop your child off in this warm and loving environment. Babies move up classes by birthday (and when confidently walking). Pagers provided for parents.

 

Early Childhood Class: Kids age 3-5 are welcome to join the toddler Sunday school class, which includes lots of free-play, a short Bible lesson, music, simple crafts, and snack. This class will meet in the Preschool/PreK room. Pagers will not be provided for this class.

 

 

11AM SERVICE

 

FAMILY ROOM: Available for any parents who don't want to drop their child off at nursery, especially for nursing mothers.

 

NURSERY: Infants and babies 0-1. Drop your child off in this warm and loving environment. Your baby will be played with and prayed for while you worship. Babies move up classes by birthday (and when confidently walking). Pagers provided for parents.

 

EARLY CHILDHOOD

 

Toddlers: Sunday school class for 1's & 2's. Teachers focus on a short Bible story, music, simple crafts and games, snacks and free-play. Pagers provided for parents. Kids move up classes by birthday.

 

Preschool- PreKindergarten: 3, 4, and 5 year olds are welcomed into classrooms by loving teachers at beginning of service. Kids will begin in their classroom where they will have a Bible lesson, craft or game, snack and then be taken to the large group worship with elementary kids. At the end of the children's worship time, the kids will be escorted upstairs to meet their parents during communion.

 

ELEMENTARY

 

Early elementary: A special class just for Kindergarteners and 1st graders. Kids will begin in their classroom for their Bible lesson, and related activities. Then they will join the Preschool and Upper elementary kids for a group worship time, followed by an escort upstairs to join their parents for communion.

 

Upper elementary: This class includes 2nd-5th Graders. It is a special place for the "big kids" to hang out and learn God's Word. They will hear amazing stories, be presented with challenging ideas, and study the Bible's core elements. Then they join with the younger kids for a group worship time, followed by an escort upstairs to join their parents for communion.
