Question about gear

Hello,
I'm new to the seattle region and I just bought a basic bike for commuting to the park & ride. I'm a novice rider, I don't even think my bike is tuned right, and it's a single speed road bike (freewheel, not fixie).

Do you think I'll be able to handle these rides?

It will definitely be able to handle the shorter rides. the long one might get you pretty tired since you can't change gears. But please join us on the 24th for the first ride. It shouldn't be a problem.
