Getting Set for C-Groups | July 14 - July 20

Quest community,

They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common. They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.

We can read it again and again. It never gets old for us. In fact, it was one of the cornerstones of why Quest was planted nine years ago.

And while having a church community of 400+ dispersed over three services makes "community" challenging, it remains one of the significant aspects of who we are. Simply, we "do community" because God has created us for community.

As fall approaches, we're beginning the process of recruiting, praying, and strategizing for our C-Groups. For now, here are two questions for you to consider:

1. Are you interested in serving as a host or co-host by opening up your home?

2. Are you interested in serving as a C-Group leader or co-leader?

SUMMER SERVICE TIMES. 9:15 and 11 a.m. Full children's ministry at both services. Amplify (youth) meets at the 11 a.m. service.

Upcoming Events at Quest

July 25	Taco Night. Members of the 5 p.m. service community (which is on "migration" for the summer) are hanging out in the lawn behind the Quest building this Sunday at 5 p.m. for a picnic. The theme is "taco night," so bring a taco topping (salsa, sour cream, guac, etc.), side (refried beans, rice), or dessert to share. All else is provided. RSVP via Facebook.	roxy@seattlequest.org
Aug 5	Newcomers' dinner. Have you recently started hanging out with Quest and/or want more info on the church's history and identity? Come hang out in the conference room of Q Cafe from 6:30-8:00 p.m. Thursday, August 5 for pizza and conversation. Please RSVP to the church office.	office@seattlequest.org
Aug 7-8	Ocean camping. Get your tent and sleeping bag ready — we're going to Twin Harbors for a camp-out! The cost is $10 for the campsite and $10 for food. The site is already reserved. RSVP via Facebook. Contact Lauren Rimkus for more info.	lauren.rimkus@gmail.com
