"Never forget justice is what love looks like in public"
- Cornel West

27 million children, men and women exist as modern-day slaves.  One in four of them are victims of sex-trafficking. Looking back on our own country's history of slavery, we are quick to condemn past injustice.  Will we be as quick to condemn the current state of injustice that surrounds us not only in our world, but also in our own backyard?  Join us this Friday, April 3 at 7pm to learn about the current state of slavery in our world, through both labor and prostitution, and learn more about how you can channel your outrage and anger into action.  Join us for the rockumentary Call & Response in the church sanctuary, and stick around for the Advocacy Fair at Q Cafe, where you can ask questions and get to know people in our area who are working against modern slavery. Tickets are just $5 and you can register online by clicking here.

Representatives from the SOLD Project, International Justice Mission, World Concern, HEAL Africa, Women of Purpose, Sex and Money (a photojournalism group), and more will be on hand to answer questions, and help connect you with opportunities to serve and partner that match your time and talent.

Also, join us next month as we screen a documentary that highlights the human rights atrocities in North Korea. On Friday, May 4th, Q Cafe and Quest Church present Crossing: A Film about North Korea, a film directed by the award winning Kim Tae-Kyun and starring Cha In Pyo as a father trying to save his family. Join us to learn more about life in North Korea under Kim Jong-Il and watching the first film to accurately depict life inside North Korea. Tickets are just $5 ($3 for students!) and you can get them online here.

We hope to see you this Friday at 7!
