Christmas Eve Service Hello Quest, No season of the year sings as well as Christmas. It makes no difference whether you're a Christian or not; a kind of irresistible magic fills the air with the sights and sounds and aroma
of the season. And the world breaks out in song. Can you imagine the
celebration of Christmas without carols? --Or without the warm glow of
candles reminding us of the "light of Christ" that has come into our
world to pierce the "darkness"? My favorite carols include Silent Night, O Come All Ye Faithful, O Holy Night, Away in a Manger and I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day. What are your favorites? I invite you to join your church family for our Christmas Eve Service of "Lessons and Carols" December 24th from 7- 8:15pm,
to once more hear the wonderful story of Christmas, sing your favorite
carols, light some candles and reflect on the "reason for the season."
Bring the whole family. And it's a great opportunity to invite friends
and neighbors to share the joy and hope of Christmas with you. The
announcement of the angels to the shepherds captures the essence of
Christmas so well: "Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great
joy that will be for all the people. 'Today in the town of David a
Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.'" (Luke 2:10,
11) In case the snowpocalypse repeats on Wednesday, Quest staff will make a final decision whether to cancel the Christmas Eve service by 3pm on Wednesday. Please check your email and the website.
