Happy New Year

Greetings Quest,

2008 has been an eventful year at Quest Church, and we have much to look forward to in the year to come. In 2008 we have launched new community groups, enjoyed learning conversations with Shane Claiborne and Lauren Winner, depth classes on Faith and Evolution, Faith and Gender, and Faith and Politics, as well as many other exciting topics. As a staff, we have welcomed Katey Hage to our church staff once again to join Christina Stockhouse in shepherding our church children. As a community, we raised funds for various local and global causes, including the Chamweno Connect Tanzania mission headed by Barbara Lundquist, as well as local food banks in Ballard and White Center. Thanks to the ministry support of generous Questers, we were also able to meet benevolence needs in our community, and continue the work of To The Streets, helping the most vulnerable in our city with the guidance of Pastor DeAnza.

As we enter 2009 together, let us remember our calling to 'be the church' together. As in Acts chapter 2:42-47, may we be a community so marked by God's grace so that the world would see God at work in our lives and praise Him.

Peace to you,

P a s t o r L e a h K l u g | Lead Associate Pastor | leah@seattlequest.org
