WHAT IS TO THE STREETS?

To the Streets is a ministry of presence among those who reside in the margins of our society.

Launched in 2002, the primary rhythm of TTS is a monthly distribution of useful goods like food, clothing, hygiene products, and blankets at the corner of 15th Avenue and Market Street (in front of Safeway) in the neighborhood of Ballard. This distribution takes place the third Saturday of each month. Volunteers meet beforehand, 11:45 at Q Cafe, to load supplies for distributing.

In addition to the monthly distribution, other TTS opportunities include:

  • Grant writing, fundraising, and networking with local businesses, nonprofits, churches, and individuals to provide support for the ministry.

  • Social and legal advocacy model the homeless in conjunction with other organizations (King County Coalition for the Homeless, Real Change, etc.).
